Stories Worth Your Time | Newsletter #2
New Book Release Updates • Navigate Chaos • Audible Playlist
Hey Friends and Fam,
I have another month’s newsletter filled with great stories worth your time. But first, I would love to share a few behind-the-scenes items that are worth mentioning.
I’ve begun uploading newly revised book chapters which you can catch up here.
The book process is still on schedule.
Beta Reading/Critiques: x Feb - 15 Mar.
Proofreading: 15 Mar - 31 Mar.
Book Graphic / Formatting: 15 Mar - 31 Mar.
Book Wait List is Open: 1 Apr - 31 May.
So Shay, when do you expect to publish your book? I hear you. The truth is I haven’t decided if I will focus on direct sales or the Amazon marketplace. Direct sales allow me to build my audience as I go. Amazon demands that I have a huge audience ready and established. This is truly business 101.
In the meantime, I have given you access to my book in its early stages.

On a personal note, I am truly enjoying my time with my fav ol’ folks — Ma and Pops. Just yesterday, I got early to recon the African American Smithsonian Museum on the Washington DC National Mall.
I observed parking spots, wheelchair-friendly paths, bathrooms, and calculated how far the front door was from the passenger-drop off. I want this upcoming outing to be seamless for them. Easy.
Being around them has taught me to slow down and very much see the world from their angle.
In a few weeks, I will get the chance to share an awesome day with Ma and Pops. It will be my Pops first time seeing the AA museum. It will be my first time too.
So I hope they enjoy the experience.

Stories Worth Your Time (SWYT) You Might Have Missed this month…
Navigate Chaos. When chaos unexpectedly consumes us how do you usually deal with it? Here is my secret.
Web Series: Tears, Fears, Pride…and, Yes, Hope Too. There is one symbol that still triggers four strong emotions in this country. Here is a fictional story that embraces humanness rather than what separates people.
Web Series: She Spun Me 'Round Tightly. It seems sometimes our lives feel out of our control. As if a magical element is tightly spinning our web tighter and tighter. Then out of nowhere, there is a sudden release.
That wraps up my second monthly newsletter.
