Hi! I'm Shay, 

Nice To Meet You.

I am a new indie creator with a love of all things writing (and working out). 

You wouldn’t know otherwise, but I’ve served as a US military intelligence officer. It wasn't quite James Bond but more Chloe O'Brian; so I totally geeked out for 20-years.

While in the military, I got a chance to live and work with multiple cultures across the world. I have met interesting dignitaries, ambassadors of state, and everyday citizens of foreign countries; I saw firsthand the power of human connection in war and peace. The one aspect I studied through observation was kindness, reciprocity, and love in every culture or language I was lucky enough to experience.

As a newly retired military officer, I am the proud caregiver my parents. I am learning so much on this new journey where I am exploring love, forgiveness, compassion, and peace. I believe we can learn so much about ourselves through others and our own stories.

I always wanted to write a collection of short stories, novels, audio dramas, and other written art that tells stories about human connections.

From a young age, I became fascinated with how we connect with each other. How we go through the ebb and flow of love, hate, grief, sadness, and happiness with those we love. I wondered about the path or journey each individual takes along the trail of life. And how we learn to navigate and adjust with each twist and turn, only to grow stronger or more distant. 

And so, I fell in love with writing stories that immerse us into the world of characters and follow them along their journey, so that we can learn with them — those unforgettable lessons that hopefully make us better.

This became the genesis for Stories Worth Your Time, whether you want a great story at home or on the go.

Stories Worth Your Time will share a wide library of stories about human connections in make-believe, speculative, and reality worlds. I look forward to sharing literary works with each of you.
